I cloned my wife… with her agreement, as a sort of social experiment.

The vibe-coded chat app allows the user to type or speak to Wife 2.0. An Eleven-Labs custom voice speaks her reply. A basic RAG-type ‘known facts’ database provides her core personality, which can be nuanced by a prompt for additional moods. Responses are also influenced by time of day, day of week and recent events pulled from her google calendar link. The end result is really quite impressive, it speaks like her, with the same speech structures she would typically use. The known facts can be expanded from the chat directly, so W2.0’s performance improves with time. A knowledge of social connections is key to convincing conversations, as is ‘known facts’ about those people in turn – I could see this project turn in to army of AI actors/agents/whatever you want to call them. Video to follow.
